Three Coins 2018 Syrah
The 2018 Three Coins Syrah has a rich, red color with garnet highlights. Aromas of blackberry, creme de cassis and currant are mixed with undertones of subtle oak and dried violet. Copious amounts of blackberry jam and ripe cherry fill the palate and fade into the velvet finish. The palate is dense yet vibrant with juicy dark fruit and baking spices, with refreshing acidity and smooth tannins. The tannins are firm but supple, lending weight to this delicious Syrah.

The Lawer Family line of Three Coins wine symbolizes the hard work, attention to detail and dedication it takes to do any job right. Betsy Lawer’s father would toss three coins down a hill in Alaska she and her sisters planned to mine - it was his quality control check to ensure the very best results. If those three coins weren’t at the bottom of the sluice box at clean up, that meant the water pressure had been too high and the coins had been washed into the tailing pile...along with some gold.
